No experience? No problem. OTTU Media welcomes newcomers! Whether you're a passionate community leader, entrepreneur, content creator, or just have a message to share, we provide the tools, training, and support to help you broadcast like a pro — no background in media required.

Just the basics to begin. To get started, you’ll need a computer, smartphone or tablet with internet access, and a microphone or camera (built-in or external). As you grow, we can help guide you on upgrading to professional gear, but you don’t need expensive equipment to begin broadcasting.

It’s a simple onboarding process. Once you sign up, our onboarding team will help you choose your station(s), schedule your content, and upload your broadcasts. You’ll also have access to live streaming tools, scheduling dashboards, and network support to reach both local and national audiences.

We keep it simple. OTTU Media provides an easy-to-use platform where you can upload pre-recorded shows or go live using free tools like OBS (Open Broadcaster Software), StreamYard, or even your phone. We also support .mp3, .mp4, and live stream formats (.m3u8), so you’re never limited by how you want to create.

We’ll guide you through the essentials. While OTTU Media isn’t a traditional FCC-regulated broadcast network, we still follow community and digital media standards. You must own the rights to your content (music, videos, voiceovers, etc.) and avoid prohibited content (hate speech, explicit adult content, etc.). We’ll provide basic guidelines so you stay compliant and protected.

Absolutely — and you keep 100% of it. If you have businesses, churches, local events, or sponsors who want to advertise during your broadcast (commercials, PSAs, event promos, etc.), you keep 100% of the profits. OTTU Media only collects the monthly broadcaster fee — the rest is yours to grow your brand and revenue however you like.

Yes — your brand, your way. You have full creative control over your show’s name, logo, theme music, intros/outros, and style. We encourage you to build a consistent identity, and our team can even help you design graphics or station IDs that fit your voice. OTTU Media gives you a platform to shine as your own network within our network.

You’re never alone. Every broadcaster gets access to our dedicated support team, training resources, and a private community of broadcasters for tips, ideas, and inspiration. We’ll walk you through setup, troubleshooting, and how to grow your audience. Need help mid-show? We’ve got your back.
